Anet A8 Hold Down Bracket
thingiverse
These are mounting brackets designed specifically for Anet A8 and A6 printers. They securely hold down and stabilize the printer base to prevent flexing during printing or misalignment when moved. Print four brackets to fit each end of the threaded rods as shown in the accompanying photo. It's essential that these brackets grip the printer tightly against the mounting surface, so place a small piece of duct tape inside the bracket for a tighter hold on the threaded rods and prevent slipping altogether. For optimal results, mount the printer on a sturdy, rigid surface such as 3/4 inch particle board or plywood. A good quality material is crucial, especially when using plywood, to avoid warping. Alternatively, you can directly attach it to a solid table or workbench if portability isn't necessary. The included files are: hold_down_bracket.stl - This is the original version designed for Anet A8 printers, and I've personally used this exact setup on an A8 printer for two years without any issues. hold_down_bracket_a6.stl - Avoid using this file. It's an outdated version intended for historical purposes only, and a newer updated version 2 should be used instead. Hold Down Bracket A6-v2.stl - This is the revised version 2 specifically designed for Anet A6 printers. Although I haven't personally tested it on an A6 printer, feedback from others has helped refine this design.
