Anet A8 heated bed clip
thingiverse
If you own an Anet A8 (I bought mine back in February 2017), you'll likely notice that the bed is a steaming mess and warps when it heats up. I've got an auto-leveling probe and other features designed to keep prints level, but none of them come close to solving this issue.\r\n\r\nAfter months of frustration, I finally found a solution by slapping a square of 1/4-inch plywood underneath the bed (a pro tip: use the H-bar as a mounting template) and then adding clips around the edges.\r\n\r\nThe added bonus is that the plywood acts as a strong thermal insulator, allowing the bed to heat up faster and more efficiently. With no compression screws in play, you'll want to consider this approach for your printer as well. You may need to use this part (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2879707) if you decide to ditch the H-frame.\r\n\r\nI wanted to create multiple small clips instead of long ones to increase the number of pressure points on the bed, making them easier to replace if they fail. I printed these in PETG since my initial PLA attempts failed due to heat (oops) - if I had access to PC or ABS, that would've been my preference, but for now, it's not an option.
