Anet A8 Gothic Z Frame Brace Filler
thingiverse
I had printed out the original gothic frame brackets, but needed something to fill the vacant space between the bracket and the bottom frame clip. Using the original bracket as a guide, I created this piece that fills in that gap and should also help firm up the frame. These were designed to fit a 38mm gap (as measured from the bottom of the gothic bracket to the flat part of the bottom frame clip). My particular measurement was about 37.5mm, but I was still able to jam these in place after some light scraping/sanding on the curved bottom of these filler pieces. Like the original, I only modeled the right-hand bracket. You'll just need to print a mirror-image for the left-hand side. I also printed both at once - upside down so that the flat part is against the bed. I didn't have to use a brim to help with adhesion, but your choice depends on your settings. As far as infill, I used 75% on both the original bracket and this filler, but that's up to you.
