Anet A8 giant spool holder
cults3d
Here is a large spool holder for the Anet A8 that can accommodate up to four filament spools. It's loosely inspired from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1624641 but designed from scratch before I realized its scad was available, my bad. I used Madjestik58 holder for quite some time and loved it, but there were two things that bothered me - lack of lateral stability, which causes it to lean on one side or the other, and having to screw/unscrew stuff every time I want to change a spool. In this design, the supports are much larger and slide under the Anet top frame for greater stability. The rod is simply laid on the supports, no nut required. The adapter for 52 mm diameter shaft spools slides in the spools, no nut required. It can accommodate up to four 54 mm wide spools. It requires a 242 mm long rod with a 2 mm tolerance - real distance is 244 mm and diameter is 8 mm. The design is not completely parametric but you can reduce the thickness (h) and the rod receptacle depth (h3) to fit a slightly longer rod. The adapters are 110 mm long, so you need to print two of them as one single 220 mm piece is too high for printing on the A8. Update: a new design tagged V2 is available for the adapters, which is a bit more parametric and has STLs of diameters 52mm and 71mm, to accommodate these types of spools.
