Anet A8 frame support strut
thingiverse
It's a robust frame brace designed specifically for your X axis. It pairs exceptionally well with these frame braces: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1872162. The design is hollow, allowing you to easily route all cables through it, but you may need an additional wire to pull the final few connectors into place. If you appreciate this creation, I can refine it further - getting it securely positioned within the frame can be a bit of a challenge. To assemble, first attach both struts together with washer 2 and secure them in place using washers 1.2 at the inner end of the thread. Next, insert all cables except those from the hot bed. Then, slide the strut into position within the frame, tighten the inner washers, and finally secure it further with the outer ones. Once you've completed this process, carefully pull the remaining wires through to finalize your setup. I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide on this design - it's likely that I'll be remixing these supports in the future, which means you'll have an opportunity to tighten them securely on both sides: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2074478. In fact, I'm already considering creating a similar design for the bottom of your printer as well. Enjoy using this creation - and don't forget that once you've tightened the middle connecting washer, it's best not to attempt to disassemble the struts again, as this can cause them to crack.
