The support consists of three components and requires an additional eight millimeter rods. It keeps the acrylic frame parts from bending when tightening your y-belt. I measured them on my ANet A8 and they fit quite well. The front part is placed around the original brackets for the y-belt tension, while the back part is positioned via the holding part of the stepper motor. They are not designed to withstand force; instead, they hold the rod in place so that infill can be 10% or less. I used thirteen point seven millimeter and twenty-one point nine millimeter long aluminum tubes, but M8 threaded rods fit as well.
