Anet A8 Fire Extinguishing Project
thingiverse
I recently had a fire erupt in one of my Anet A8 printers while it was printing with ABS, triggering the smoke detector and prompting me to take action. To prevent such incidents from happening again, I inserted a .25Amp fuse in line with the fan and light circuits of the printer, which should help protect against open arcs that could ignite fumes during ABS printing. Additionally, I acquired an inexpensive fire extinguishing device known as Fire Ball, available on Amazon for approximately $30. The included files and photos demonstrate how I mounted the Fire Ball and the components used in the process.
