This is a sensor guide for 1.75mm filament. The tolerances are very tight in this version, with only 0.25mm between the holder and the filament. I've found that these tolerances are necessary to ensure the optical sensor functions without failure. Although this print is quite large and doesn't require much internal support (printing at 10%), attaching the sensor can be a challenge. I've discovered that self-tapping screws from the Z-Stop sensor work well, but I've left the screw holes relatively small so they can accommodate different types of screws. I wanted to ensure compatibility with various screws, but this means screwing in the sensor can be a bit tricky. The optical sensor I purchased is available on eBay at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191017996202 and works seamlessly with the OctoPrint plugin from https://github.com/MoonshineSG/OctoPrint-Filament. To connect it to my Raspberry PI, I followed these steps: Black = Ground Pin 09/25/39/06/14/30/34 ( multiple grounds are available ) Red = 3.3v Pin 01/17 Blue = Signal GPIO17 Pin 11
