Anet A8 Filament Guide with Pulley

Anet A8 Filament Guide with Pulley

thingiverse

This is my personal approach for a filament guide fitting the Anet A8 printer. All other guides are just supports to attach a circle to the frame, but this one has a pulley included to ensure smooth filament movement from the back of the printer. I cringe every time the filament scratches the frame. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 20% Notes: Only use supports for the actual piece, not the pulley or axis, or they won't be smooth enough. The guide doesn't have a cut to insert and extract the filament because it sometimes slips out and you need to remove the filament from the extruder anyway to change it. The pulley and axis are included for a print-and-play experience, but some people might prefer to put an actual pulley with bearings, etc. The included ones turn pretty smooth anyway, just make sure you fix the axis with a couple of rubbers or something (like the small ones that come with the A8) as it's a bit smaller than the hole (3.5mm vs 4mm).
