I have found this filament guide to be essential when nearing the end of a roll, where the filament is tightly wound. I printed it at .3 layer height with 20% infill, allowing for three layers thickness. Also visible in the picture are the aluminum angle frame reinforcements, the z stop modification, the elongated x axis base, illuminated print head and removed print cooling fan. Not pictured are the added fans on both the power supply and over the processor board, as well as the use of rubber bands to keep cables up that feed the print head and bed. Before assembling the A8, it's crucial to polish the steel guide rods, which arrive quite rough. It's also vital to pack the linear bearings with grease, as they can be dry when shipped. My printer has accumulated over 2600 hours of use now and runs flawlessly!
