Anet A8 Filament Fan Holder for easy access

The original model was restricting airflow too much, so I pretty much re-engineered it from scratch. The source code is contained within the scad file. You can utilize the original screws as I did in one of the images, but unlike me you should fabricate a custom spacer to ensure a proper fit. It's best to acquire some m3 25mm screws to securely fasten the fan so it slides down all the way, which should effectively cool the large metal block on the bottom. The heatsink is not utilized in this design, and I don't believe it's necessary. Regularly clean the filament feeder from dust accumulation. Use two to four m3 20mm screws with nuts to securely fasten the fan to part b. Print parts a and b with their flat sides facing up using a 0.1mm layer height. Part c is optional but highly recommended, as it blocks airflow from the fan to the extruder, which helps maintain a constant temperature and prevents ABS from cooling too rapidly. For the standard variant, you'll need to lightly sand the parts and apply a lubricant. There's also a loose variant that should fit more easily, although it might produce some rattling noise. If you reside in Germany, I have some m3 25mm screws left over, and I'd be happy to send them your way if you send me 70 cents via PayPal for shipping costs.
