So I made this to get better access to the extruder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2551414 However, you can't mount it against the extruder with any of the leftover hardware (or with any of the assortment of M3 screws I bought). Everything's either too short or too long. You could use some of the leftover 8-mm (?) spacers, but they hold it out a bit too far. This 3-mm spacer will hold the fan closer to the extruder. It also works anywhere you might need a spacer for one side of a NEMA 17 stepper motor. I have another one under a Z-axis limit switch bracket, connected to the left Z-axis motor. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% How I Designed This I took the dimensions for a NEMA 17 stepper motor and used them to build a model in OpenSCAD. Merge two circles with a rectangle to produce an oval, then punch out holes for the screws. Extrude to the thickness needed. Category: 3D Printer Parts
