I converted to a bowden setup on my A8, and I was dissatisfied with every solution I found to mount the filament spool on the frame. So I designed this, it's one piece that mounts to the top of the stock frame, right side, and holds both the extruder and the filament spool in place. It utilizes the stock M8 threaded rod that comes with the printer. You'll need something to center your spools on the rod; I have some printed to fit one type of spool I use, as well as another "universal" one with cones at the ends that slips over the 8mm rod without any issues.
