12/22/18 - Issues persist with the STL file. The height of the case also remains a concern. For ramps, users employing DuPont connectors face a significant challenge in closing the lid. Work is underway to address these issues and obtain a viable print. A final STL should be available after the holiday. I have resolved two problems with the print but have yet to test it. Firstly, I corrected the placement of Ramps, ensuring a secure fit. However, with the LCD adapter in place, the original design was compromised. The issue is now resolved, and users can enjoy a seamless experience. Secondly, I incorporated support for USB removal via a knock-out plate, eliminating the need to manually detach it. This modification enables the print to complete successfully, allowing for easy removal of the USB connector with a sharp Exacto blade. The SD card slot designed for the Raspberry Pi has been intentionally crafted for easy separation. Please stand by as I continue working on this project. Initially, I required a design that would accommodate my specific needs. However, upon discovering this existing model, I decided to adapt and edit it instead of creating something entirely new. My goal was to seamlessly integrate the components I intended to use. This design is specifically tailored to house Ramps 1.4, Raspberry Pi for OctoPrint, two MOSFETs, a buck converter, and a relay board for power and RGB control. Furthermore, I have modified the top section to include a mounting system for a compact buck converter.
