https://youtu.be/c1d0y_oQE_ohttps://youtu.be/H1eT2RqtLoQ Recently, I designed an e3dv6 carriage with cover. Here's the one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2097517 This project was a huge success. I've been using it successfully for a long time now. Many people have it in their printers. Some great remixes have also been made. I've since redesigned it, adding new features and updates. For additional information, configuration files, and more, check out the classic version. The cover: - A totally new design of radiator cooling part has been implemented, making it modular now. You can replace the radiator part if it melts. - Hex screw holes have been added for easier nut fitting. - Two accessory holes on both sides allow for easy extension placement. - Fan duct holes feature duct position locking textures. - More minor adjustments have been made. - It is fully compatible with the old (classic) backplate, so you don't need to change it. The backplate: - No changes were made at all. The nozzle radiator module: This is a brand new module for e3dv6. It consists of two parts. - Better airflow than the classic one has been achieved. - The module can be replaced if it melts without printing the whole cover. - It prevents air from blowing into the nozzle (some people complained about this issue). - It supports blowing or sucking air through the radiator. - Holes are provided to pass cables from the heater, thermistor, and so on, hiding them inside the cover. The fan ducts: - They are compatible with the old cover. (But not vice versa) - The bottom is now flat for easier printing and better airflow. - Improved position locking "things" have been added. The accessory rail: This is designed for mounting additional modules. Especially for bed leveling sensors like bltouch or others. - It's small, light, and easy to print. - Many mounting holes are provided for different sensors. - Allows sensor height adjustment over the bed. - Can be used in the future for other purposes. - Can be mounted on either side of the cover. The bltouch sensor module: A new module for bltouch sensor. - Adjustable sensor height over the bed by screw. - Can be easily replaced if it breaks. Check out the photos to see how to mount it. The led light module: A new module that makes printing easier to observe. It's 12v powered. You'll need: -a printed module, -3 white LEDs - a 100ohm resistor How to make it work: - Check here to see how the LED circuit should be soldered. Other LED circuits can also be designed there: http://ledcalculator.net/default.aspx?values=12,3.2,25,3,0 - Place all LEDs in their places. - Solder them together in series. Add a resistor in series too. Now they can be powered 12v. - Glue the LEDs on their places. - Solder wires to the series ends. That's it! If you liked this, consider donating me a beer. I like beer!
