Anet A8 E3D v6 Mount with ducts and sensor
thingiverse
This is a simplified mod for IsmaelPR1's original mount that adds a side bracket for a 12mm sensor. Testing has yet to occur, but results are expected to be positive based on available data. TinkerCAD was used to integrate the sensor into the design. Update: Initial prints revealed some errors, so I relocated the sensor mount upwards to accommodate the nut and lockwasher at the bottom of the sensor shaft. The top of the mount has been largely removed due to plans for Bowden use. Holes have been punched in both the remaining top area and side area for fan mounting purposes, aiming to reduce material usage. Additionally, a problem arose with the bit that secures onto the E3d breaking off from the plate. This issue was likely caused by layer adhesion, but temperature adjustments should resolve it. Two tiny 1mm shafts were added through the mount, prompting the slicer to print them as solid shafts instead of wide infill areas. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1-.3 layer height, depending on desired quality. Infill: 60% is suggested. Notes: Early tests show promise. The part has been updated. Printed with 2mm thick shells in PETG at a nozzle temperature of 225 degrees and a bed temperature of 60 degrees. A layer height of 0.1mm was used, and patience and slow printing are recommended for optimal results.
