Anet A8 E3D v6 mount
thingiverse
Description =========== This is a completely redesigned E3D v6 carriage inspired by TNS's customizable design. I used his blueprint as a starting point and made significant changes to create my own unique version. The reason for this redesign was that my 50x50x15 fan didn't fit on TNG's original design, causing the fan duct to collide with the carriage. To resolve this issue, I redesigned the entire structure. I have been using version 1.2d since April 2018 on my Anet AM8 and am extremely satisfied with its performance. For this reason, I'm marking this design as final. Please see the changelog below for a detailed list of enhancements: My Enhancements =============== * Added more holes to secure cables in place * Included square M3 nuts (DIN562) to mount the X belt holder on the backside * Installed M3 DIN562 nuts to secure the extruder clamp * Created slotted holes to mount the fan at adjustable heights * Cut out a section in the base plate to accommodate wider fan ducts, such as the Mistral * Designed a mount for genuine BLTouch (44.8mm in height) with Y=0, X=35 coordinates Needed Parts ============ To assemble this design, you will need: * 6x M3 nut (to mount the X belt holder) * 6x M4 screw (taken from the Anet A8 bracket) * 2x M3 square nut DIN562 * 12x M4 screw (taken from the Anet A8 bracket) * 2x M3x25 screw to mount the fan * 4x washers to support the fan screws NEW VERSION v1.2.e (Untested!) ============================== This updated design is specifically created for use with an E3D Volcano hotend and the "Space Ship Fan Duct". Please download "Square_nuts_and_BLTouch_3mm_distance_Volcano_v1.2e_spaceship.stl" to access this new version. VERSION v1.2d -------------- I removed the lower left section to create more space for larger fan ducts. Additionally, I moved the fan's mounting holes up a few millimeters to accommodate the spaceship fan duct. This updated design also includes a mount for standard 6x PCI Express connectors, allowing you to connect: * Hotend heater * Sensor * Heatsink fan VERSION v1.2c -------------- I enlarged the cutout below the BLTouch mount to provide more space for termistor and sensor cables. ## Added Spacers My sensor mount works seamlessly with the E3Dv6 nozzle, but you may need additional spacers (0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, or 1.0mm) if you're using other nozzles, such as Micro Swiss. VERSION v1.2b -------------- I added a version with a mount for the original BLTouch. Since my X axis is slightly twisted, I had issues with automatic bed leveling. To resolve this problem, I created a new carriage with the BLTouch mounted 35mm to the right of the nozzle. #define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 35 #define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 #define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 VERSION v1.2a ------------- I switched back to using hex nuts for the clamp, as I prefer this configuration. VERSION v1.2 -------------- The X-belt holder holes were initially 1mm too far apart. To correct this issue, you can simply use a 3.2mm drill to enlarge the existing holes. VERSION v1.1 -------------- I apologize for the mistake in my previous version. I used an incorrect STL file to align the fan duct, resulting in a modified fan mount height. Please use the new version 1.1 instead of the original one.
