Anet A8 E3D V6 Direct Mount reinforced carriage and clamp
thingiverse
I've noticed that the V6 clamp bends downward while extruding, which may be due to PETG's flexibility in this application. To address this issue, I reinforced the entire carriage with fillets and raised the clamp for my 3D Touch sensor. Additionally, I redesigned the clamp to bolt directly onto the A8 heatsink. After printing both parts, I've found that simply attaching the new clamp with its extra fastening point has resolved the flexing problem of the original design. Although I haven't yet test-fitted the main carriage, my modified clamp works seamlessly with the old one on my setup. All credit goes to the original designer for their innovative creation; I merely optimized it to suit my specific needs and experimented with modeling software to refine the design.
