Anet A8 E3D V6 Direct Drive Mount
thingiverse
A direct drive carriage designed specifically for Anet A8 (or other 8mm rod 45mm space i3 style machines) mounts an E3D v6 or clone hotend and a block-style inductive sensor. Why did we choose this design? The Fanduct is actually a minor modification of the one found on the Prusa I3 Mk3, with full credit going to Prusa Research for their contribution. The motor is positioned inline with the top belt, not elevated above the rails like some other designs. This likely reduces wobbling caused by cheap bearings, although we haven't tested it yet. One of the key benefits of this design is that it eliminates lost Z height. By integrating the bottom of the extruder with the hotend mount, the assembly remains short and compact. This carriage also features a mount for the block-type inductive sensor, which differs from the more common industrial type.
