Anet A8 direct drive bowden filament guide prevents the carriage from pulling hard on the filament while moving away from a filament roll placed on one side for easy setup. To mount it, simply use one of the LCD screws provided. I purchased two bowden connectors, but they are currently collecting dust unused because I found an even better solution. The lower part of the bowden tube fits perfectly into the hole at the extruder and is securely stopped from moving any further. This eliminates the need for a connector altogether. At the ball joint, I added some threads by drilling and screwed in one connector to keep everything in place. However, due to the curved nature of the filament, it was often blocked by the connector. In the end, using just the pure tube works beautifully. A small red item can be seen behind the filament guide - it's a cleverly clipped-on filament cleaner sponge box that helps maintain a smooth printing experience.
