Anet A8 coupler Anti Z wobble guide
thingiverse
The coupler connecting the lead screw and motor shaft ensures smooth operation despite misalignment between them. However, z wobble occurs, which translates into wavy prints. To compensate for any misalignment, we need a rigid yet flexible component. This new system bolts directly over the old one, keeping the lead screw straight while allowing slight misalignment through the coupler. I haven't tested this on a stock Anet A8, so if you have the direct drive style extruder, your carriage might ride lower and collide with this mount. The mount stands 39mm high, so home your printer and measure your clearance to be sure. To assemble: - Remove the threaded rod from the coupler - Detach the motor - Insert a bearing into the guide - Slide the guide onto the rods - Reinstall the threaded rod into the coupler - Lower the guide over the coupler - Hold up the motor and screw everything down.
