ANET A8 Corner bracket / surface mount
thingiverse
The Anet A8 corner mounting bracket is a must-have accessory that offers several benefits when assembling and using your 3D printer. Firstly, it enables you to securely attach the frame to a sturdy base material such as 18mm plywood or similar surfaces, utilizing common screws for easy installation. By doing so, this bracket ensures that the acrylic frame sections are accurately aligned at a 90-degree angle to the M8 rods during assembly, resulting in smoother travel on the Y axis. Additionally, it adds significant rigidity to the frame and effectively pulls the front of the Y axis down, preventing lifting or warping under aggressive movement. In the example shown here, six brackets were used - two at the rear and one on each side of the front box section. This design also works seamlessly with existing popular front and rear braces developed by other users for improved Y axis tensioning. If you've already assembled your printer, don't worry! Simply unmount the M8 rods one at a time to make installation easier. When mounting, use a cross-head self-tapping screw (1 1/2" long, 4mm diameter) that suits the surface thickness. Tighten the screw firmly into the countersunk hole until it compresses the bracket securely against the base material.
