Anet A8 Cool air intake
thingiverse
I've always been frustrated by cooling fans that draw in warm air, which seems counterintuitive when trying to cool something down. To address this issue, I designed an intake that redirects the airflow to where it's cooler - above the fan. This simple modification takes in all the air from the top, rather than relying on hot air drawn in from the sides. The intake was printed upright on its side, using support material at a layer height of 0.3mm. To secure it in place, I used the extra bed screws provided with my printer. The result is a notable improvement, especially when combined with another upgrade I found on Thingiverse that complements this design.
