UPDATED! Open cable chain links and clip with ease. Clip design gets a bold new look from schnuffi's original inspiration, slapped onto my variation of the cable chain by sukhoi27. I added the X Axis extruder end and motor mount by The_Random_Engineer, which I plan to fine-tune later on. Thinning the cable chain made by sukhoi27 and chamfering the inner chain edge makes assembly a breeze. I also cleaned up the Y-Bed bracket of unnecessary geometry and thinned the wall to fit my custom chain profile. I mounted it securely to my Anet A8 using M4.7x12mm screws and nuts. Though the nuts might be overkill, you can probably get away without them like Papinist did with his thin bracket design. I prefer a sturdy setup. I also added holes to the Y-Bed bracket for a zip tie strain relief on the wires, which I soldered directly to the board (14ga.) and secured tightly. P.S. After installation, I noticed some squeaking sounds. After thorough searching and ruling out bad bearings, I discovered it was the cable chain. So if you hear squeaking, check the cable chain first before getting worried! P.P.S On the X-Axis motor mount, my Anet's hex screws were too short to reach through its mount and that bracket. I used longer Phillips screws from my printer package and carved out a lower screw hole so standard hex screws would fit snugly.
