I've experienced filament snags causing prints to fail. These issues often stem from excessive stress on the filament roll due to the back-and-forth motion of the extrusion head. To address these problems, I decided to experiment with using a Bowden tube to minimize the filament's motion. This setup should help reduce stress on the filament roll. The included connector is designed for use with brass connectors, offering options with and without chain connections. A female-to-female port allows easy connection to the printer's frame. My ultimate goal is to extend the tube from the filament rolls in my dehydrator directly to the print heads on my printers. This streamlined setup will help maintain a consistent flow of filament. One year later, I encountered an issue with one of my printers' Bowden holders falling off its mount. Instead of reprinting the part, I designed a reinforced version to prevent future incidents. I've modified my original design to create a more robust and reliable Bowden holder. Since I frequently print with ABS, which can warm up during printing, this beefed-up design should provide added stability and durability.
