Anet A8 Bowden Extruder Mount for top spoolholder
thingiverse
For those of you who swapped out your bowden extruder for the Anet A8 and have a top spool holder: I use this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2832620. Make sure that if you don't use this spoolholder, the bars around the Anet A8 frame must not exceed 11mm on each side (width). You'll need the following parts: M3-2x30mm screws (I found extras from my Anet A8 kit) - they need to be exactly 30mm long. These will hold the extruder to the P2 and the stock Anet A8 spring thingy. M3-2x45mm or more (if you still have them, use the old hex screws that held the extruder fan and radiator from the stock Anet extruder). These will hold the P1 to the Anet A8 frame next to the LCD display. M3-1x19mm or more. This screw will hold P1 to P2. Instructions: Place part 1 in part 2 and screw them together. Remove the two screws already holding the left side of the LCD display on the Anet A8. Screw part 1 and part 2 next to the LCD board using the 45mm+ M3 screws. It should not move or wiggle. Place the bottom part of the stock Anet A8 extruder and use the 30mm screws to secure it. Don't forget to place the spring! Screw the extruder to the extruder with the bottom Anet A8. It should be just next to the spool holder you have. If you encounter any issues, comment! Thanks
