Anet A8 Bottom Z Stabilizer

Anet A8 Bottom Z Stabilizer

thingiverse

I had a lot of play in the bottom of Z-axis guide rods which was causing my print quality not to be good with unevenness on the vertical X-axis edges and some in the Y-axis. I designed this piece in Fusion 360 and it made a huge difference in my print quality. I am also using the top adapter printed from Thingiverse which made a difference initially. I fitted this before I designed the bottom piece. I might consider removing the bearing in the top adapter, to give the screw rod more room to move if it is not totally straight, but will leave the rest of the top adapter in place to secure the Z-axis guide rods from moving. I have uploaded the Fusion 360 file and the .STL file. The size for the guide rod and the screws worked for me, might print differently on more accurate printers. Please feel free to edit this as needed. This item should help.
