Updated: 24JUNE2018 - Modified design to improve Beefy BLTouch functionality. I designed and printed the BLTouch mount by OderWat, using it successfully with PLA for several months. However, when I upgraded to ABS, the heat from the extruder caused my PLA upgrades for the ANET A8 to warp. Additionally, the arm on the mount broke, making removal difficult due to a blocked mounting screw. To address these issues, I redesigned the BLTouch mount with wider arms, more support structure, and moved it 8mm closer to the extruder, allowing both screws to be accessed without removing the BLTouch. I also cut the heat sink in half for better visibility of the nozzle when loading filament. To utilize this updated design, set the X & Y offsets in your firmware using the following code: ``` define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -38 define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -9 define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 ``` I also defined the probing locations to prevent the extruder from crashing into the far right side during probing. Use the following code: ``` define LEFT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 15 define RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 175 define FRONT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 15 define BACK_PROBE_BED_POSITION 170 ``` This mount is specifically designed for a default 30mm nozzle throat. If you have a longer or shorter throat, modifications will be necessary.
