Auto off switch box for Anet A8: A Simple DIY Hack My own auto-off switch box was tailor-made for the Anet A8, with a clever design that incorporates a 20mm hole in the back brace. However, this necessitated a 24mm switch offset to get it working seamlessly. I had initially tried using a 22mm spacer, but unfortunately, the toggle switch ended up being too close for comfort. To create my auto-off switch box, I opted for a reliable 120v rated toggle switch that can be easily sourced from most home improvement stores. It's essential to note, though, that this project is purely focused on providing a mounting solution and not the actual wiring instructions. For those seeking guidance on how to wire their printer, it's best to consult a separate resource. When preparing your printer for a print job, don't forget to rotate it to its side position first. Once the print has begun, you can safely switch to the vertical orientation. Be aware that your printer will automatically shut down once the print is complete, thanks to its clever self-shutoff feature. Lastly, make sure to include a "move Y to zero" command in your end g-code to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
