Anet A8/AM8/Prusa i3 - MGN X Axis
thingiverse
I am currently designing a new X-Axis for my 3D printer. It is designed to be compatible with the AM8 build as that is what my printer is based on. Here is a video test of the axis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcin1eqA098 Here is a video of it running on my printer: https://youtu.be/QuQ35qA9fI4 You will need: - 410mm 2020 Extrusion - 350mm MGN12 Rail - 2x Delrin lead nuts with a hole spacing of 19mm (like this https://bit.ly/37YAnXy) - 1x Aluminium Belt Tensioner (like this https://amzn.to/2SQm1Ee) - 3x M3x35 screws for the Titan Aero - 2x M3x25 screws for the fan assembly - 4x M3x10 (or 12) screws to secure the carriage to the MGN block - 8x M3x8 for the belt clamp system and the X-Axis Motor - 7x M4x16 for the left and right hand sides - 7x M4 T-Nuts. (You can probably swap these two M4 parts for M3 if you wanted) You can finely adjust the spacing between the leadscrews to perfectly match your printer too, hopefully 410 should be just the right size for most. Update 22/02/2020: I finally put this off a little too long, did a final test print and some modifications and I think it is ready to go! Update 05/01/2020: I added mounting for attaching the belt to the axis, also increased clearance for solid coupling on the lead screws to the axis can get closer to the bed.
