I swapped out my busted 40mm fan for a 50mm radial fan that I already had on hand, and it's been a game-changer - this thing is ridiculously quiet! I've taken precise measurements to ensure optimal performance, and I'm thrilled to report that the bolt nearest the extruder only reaches a scorching 38C (a comfortable 20C ambient temperature, with my trusty extruder running at a sizzling 260C). If you're not sold on this setup, don't bother - just stick with what you know. This design offers unobstructed access to the extruder, eliminating the need for any pesky heatsink. Version 2 takes it to the next level by clearing up X axis motion and positioning the fan in a more centralized location.
