This is a fantastic addition for the A8, its design has some room for improvement in the filament path. The original creator made this modification to allow the fan to be relocated and the heat sink removed, exposing the extruder gears and filament path. I'm thrilled to report that I've experienced zero overheating issues since implementing this mod. In fact, my extruder stays cooler with this modification. Here is a photo of my modified A8, as I'm using the wiring chain which has a mount in the way. Print Settings: Printer: Modified Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 100 Notes: I used PLA material for this print.
