Anet A8 Adjustable Dual E3D V6 Bowden Setup
thingiverse
Hi everyone! I needed a dual extrusion mount for two E3D V6 clones so I designed my own. It hasn't been printed yet as my machine is out of order, so I'm hoping to see it printed by someone who can give me tips on how it fits and so on. FEATURES: -Independent dual extrusion mount: each hotend is mounted separately to simplify the mounting process. -Adjustable hotend height (5mm range): get both nozzles at the right height by unscrewing two screws and using the vertical one to adjust the gap. -Dual hotend cooling and part cooling pieces in one: the plate goes between the V6 fan holder and the fan itself after having both installed. Uses two 40mm fans as part cooling fans. -Wire management spots are provided. KNOWN ISSUES: -The fan mount has no space for screws to move on, making only small adjustments possible - I'm already working on a fix. -Supports are needed: I designed this with just functionality in mind so supports are needed in some pieces. I'll try to make custom supports but can't guarantee it. -Default orientation is not always the best one: try rotating it until you get a good base surface and little support needed, then let me know so I can fix the main orientation. MATERIALS: -Various M3 screws - I'll post dimensions as soon as I get some feedback. -Six M3 nuts - four on the back will need to be pushed in place as they lock the extruder holder after adjusting the height. -Two 40mm fans (one can be a stock Anet hotend fan but it's suggested buying two identical ones for even performance) for cooling ducts. -Two E3D V6 extruders complete with cooling fans and bowden mounts. TO DO: -Add support for auto-levelling sensors: waiting for user feedback on dimensions and suggestions for placement. -Add customizable part cooling ducts. The tolerances in this project are at least 0.2mm, which should be fine for most printers. If you encounter problems I may upload bigger tolerance files as well. The offsets are 0mm in Y and 32.04 on X - thanks to GLIDETHUNDER for pointing it out in the comments. UPDATE 16/06/2018: The fan holder has been fixed so that tuning of the extruders is possible now. It's made up of two parts with a rail allowing sliding on the vertical axis while keeping the blowers aligned.
