Anet A8 50mm Extruder Fan Adapter
thingiverse
Like many people out there, my stock fan was extremely loud. Upon closer inspection, it was because it was a low-quality fan with a cracked hub, resulting in unbalanced blades that caused the noise. One of the blades actually broke off at one point. I built this adapter, so I could mount one of my spare 50mm G.Skill fans I had lying around. INSTALLATION GUIDE 1) Feed through the inner hole, a Philips head screw for mounting the adapter to the hot end. 2) Secure the 50mm fan to the adapter using three M3 screws and three M3 nuts. Secure it using the upper two and bottom-left holes. 3) Insert the smaller Philips screwdriver that came with the printer between the fan blades to secure the screw mentioned in step (1) to the lower-left mounting hole on the extruder motor. 4) Secure the lower-right fan hole to the lower-right mounting hole on the extruder motor. If this doesn't make sense, let me know, and I'll try to help.
