I've added a rigidly attached, modular fan mount and an up-swept 40mm cowling to the "Customizable E3D v6 Carriage" designed by TNS on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2099577). You can download the original carriage parts from TNS for ease of use. This design is specifically created to accommodate large fan ducts like the "Fan Duct Spaceship" by Paul0, which other 40mm fan adapters could interfere with (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2088006/comments). To attach the fan cowling, simply slide it down onto the heatsink adapter. The modular design allows you to upgrade your fan without unscrewing the mount from the carriage, while also providing access to the heatsink for cleaning or servicing. I've used rubber vibration dampeners to attach the fan instead of screws. You can see this in action on my photo/video - I used a Noctua A-Series fan that came with these dampeners (https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Cooling-Blades-Bearing-NF-A4x10/dp/B009NQLT0M). Future updates will include: * Additional cowling sizes for different fans * Option to mount fans using 3mm machine screws * Design elements that eliminate the need for supports You can see a demo of the modular design in action here: https://youtu.be/ZxGVbyB711g
