Anet A8 30A (360watt) PSU Upgrade
thingiverse
Anet A8 comes standard with a 20A (240 watt) power supply unit. When the stock PSU fails, a 30A (360 watt) PSU is purchased to replace it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7CWSCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The 30A PSU does not fit into the original frame holes, so a custom mounting frame is created. In addition, the switch cover must be redesigned and remixed to accommodate the new PSU. A preexisting cover design from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2320216) is used as a model and modified to fit the 30A PSU. Additional parts needed for the mounting frame include: 3 - M3 nuts that are press-fitted into the frame first 4 - M3x8mm SHCS screws that secure the frame to the PSU 3 - M3x16mm SHCS or Phillips screws that attach the Frame/PSU combo to the Anet A8 frame To assemble the switch cover, you will need: 2 - M4x8mm screws that mount the cover to the side of the PSU 1 - a switch assembly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ME5YAPK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
