I am excited to share with you the final version of my Anet A8 frame upgrade, a project I have been working on for some time now. This is not the first iteration of this printer that I have uploaded to Thingiverse, as previous versions have undergone slight changes to improve their design. The current version differs significantly from its predecessors in several key ways. Firstly, I made the decision to switch from 16mm M6 bolts, which were proving to be too long and would often bottom out on the 3030 extrusion, resulting in a less-than-optimal printing experience. To resolve this issue, I updated the design to utilize 14mm M6 bolts instead, effectively eliminating the problem. Secondly, I relocated the Z Axis 3030 to sit alongside the Y Axis 3030 rather than atop it, which has restored full functionality to the heated bed. This modification is a significant improvement over some of my earlier iterations, which limited bed usage due to their design constraints. Lastly, I adjusted the mounting point for the Y Axis end stop to accommodate shorter rods while still maintaining the full 220mm of Y travel required for optimal performance.
