A Custom Adapter Mounts a 12864 LCD on the Anet A8 Screen. Mounting it behind the acrylic ensures a strong grip on the frame. If you want to modify the files, note that they're split into three parts: the connection to the frame, the screen connector, and the middle piece between them - which might be the most challenging part to adjust. The rounded area near the top is designed to provide cable stress relief because the cables for the monitor are bent permanently otherwise.
