Anet A8 1-piece Z motor mount v3
thingiverse
I've been working on version 3 for a while now. First, I virtually assembled each piece, filling in the gaps for hardware and the spaces between tabs. Next, I added a front face to them, hiding the screw holes on the sides and top, adding "Anet A8" lettering/venting, removing the overhang, and putting a 45-degree edge on the corners. The lines visible on the print's surface are due to the gap in the tape, as these prints must be done face down. Keep this in mind when printing them - a glass or buildtak mat is likely your best bet. I used a gas station rewards card to create a slot for setting the couplers, as shown in the second picture. During installation, it's essential to leave the motors loose and get the lead screws aligned nicely before tightening the motor to the mount fully. Edit: As of August 29th, this project is no longer being tweaked. It fits and functions as expected, so unless someone points out something I'm unaware of (which seems unlikely), this is complete and finalized.
