The ANET A6 printer's first layer is important to get accuracy landing. With this Fine Z level adjuster for the micro switch you can get this accurate with the ability to adjust the micro-switch level so that it lands and lays down the first layer well every time.I designed it using FreeCAD.It has a slider which is suitable to hold a spring for a 45mm long threaded 3mm diameter fine thread screw with a thumb wheel to do fine adjustment. I set the threaded screw on top with a nut to limit how far down the screw goes down and is free of he surface. All one does is then adjust the thumb wheel till the nozzle lays down the first layer, as you'd like it too. Now remember the left side and right side must be the same height as the stepper motors are independent and can be at different heights. So its best to adjust left and right to exactly the height you like with a thin piece of paper (say paper from the electronic credit card machine) between the bed and the nozzle. Then mark the left and right stepper couplers at their desired zero points when the motors are disabled. Then do a height adjust with the auto zero button. If its off then adjust the screw up or down accordingly till both motors select the mid point simultaneously. The main thing is that these two heights are the same when the machine is powered off so that when the steppers power up they are are in sync on the left and the right. See pics of how I marked the couplers. Update 29 Oct 2023 - If you can't get the 3mm Knurled Metal Thumbwheel then I added two you can print. One fits the M3 Nut and the other an M3 Nut or an M3 Nylock Nut. I would still add a washer so that it rotates freely.
