Anet A6 Y axis stabilising spacer

thingiverse

This is a critical component, a spacer for the Y axis, situated between the threaded rods and the frame - specifically, the U-shaped gap in the middle section, not the hole at the back. Its primary function is to stabilize the Y axis, thereby eliminating any slack parallel to the X axis. To install it effectively, you will need to completely remove the entire Y axis assembly. First, remove the nuts and washers to place the spacer accurately on the threaded rod, then replace them. Holding just the threaded rod assembly, push the spacer into the gap in the frame, which may require a considerable amount of force - be careful not to bend the rod or break the frame. This process will compress the spacer into the frame, making it extremely rigid. Repeat this step with the other threaded rod and then re-assemble the Y-axis assembly. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A6 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Notes: I had to adjust the extrusion width to 0.38 in Craftware for it to print the cylindrical section correctly.
