I had some Problems Whit the basic stiffness of the Original Anet A6. Therefore I decided to design some printable part to improve this. This ended up in an almost complete redesign of the printer. While doing so I also changed some other functions. The printer now has:- A Bowden extrusion system instead of the original direct drive.- An auto bed levelling sensor on the back of the printhead carrier- Two mosfets- An actively cooled electronics case for the mosfets and the main board- A main power switch- A better power unitThe Bowden system and the new carrier layout also gave me the possibility to make a quick release for the printhead, so giving me the possibility to ad other tools like a pencil or a power tool instead of the printhead. This way the printer can be a complete multifunctional desk CNC Machine of witch printing is just one of the functions. The mounting system for a simple pencil is also added in the download. For this I designed a spring loaded holder that makes is fairly easy to adjust properly. It ended up to be a lot more work than planned, but in the end I’m happy with the result. The printer is a lot more rigid and reliable. And prints a lot better quality prints on higher speeds than before. Let me know what you think of my approach to improve this cheap printer.
