I wanted a precise autolevel feature without having to update the firmware or write any g-code.\r\n\r\nSo, I swapped out a mechanical Z endstop for an inductive one, mounting it right on the extruder. Although I only have a single measuring point, this solution is surprisingly simple and effective. This setup works perfectly as long as you're using a bed without glass - tape will do just fine.\r\n\r\nThe mount attaches to the extruder using 3M double-sided tape.
