Anet A6 Light Bar
thingiverse
I needed a spare light for my 3D printer, one that wouldn't take up valuable build space. I found the perfect spot behind the screen, where it would stay out of the way but still be easily visible. The mounting screws from the display were ideal for holding the lightbar in place, and using them saved me from having to drill new holes. Plus, they added a sleek, finished look to the whole setup. To make sure the lightbar fit snugly behind the screen, I swapped out the existing white spacers with custom-made ones that included mounts for my lightbar. It was a simple but effective solution. When assembling the lightbar, be sure to replace the bottom screen spacers with the left and right lightbar mounts. This ensures a secure connection between the lightbar and the printer's frame. I designed the lightbar and its mounts in black PLA, while the lens is made from transparent PLA for maximum visibility. It was my first attempt at designing something for others to print and use – I'm excited to see how it turns out! Since printing the lightbar myself, I've made a few tweaks to improve its performance. The lightbar now centers perfectly over the build area, and the left and right mounts fit more securely. To complete the setup, you'll need two M3 bolts and two M3 nuts to connect the lightbar to its mounts. Don't forget to use 12V LED tape and a cable to power your new light! Happy printing – I hope you enjoy this custom design!
