Anet A6 Hot End Mod 25mm x 32mm
thingiverse
This part is designed specifically for printing with ABS on the Anet A6 with ease. This setup is not suitable for high-speed prints and is unnecessary if your target material is ABS. Individuals like Thingiverse user MKSA may lack experience with working with ABS. Do you have a hot end with cool fin dimensions of 22,25mm x 26mm? Please visit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2252256 for more information. If you have a hot end with cool fin dimensions of 25mm x 32mm, you can use it in conjunction with this model. This is an x wagon that holds a cheap Chinese J-head like hot end. The picture shows the air guiding system which prevents any cooling airflow from hitting the printed parts. This setup is designed to simplify ABS printing. A significant advantage of this part is its ease of filament changing, allowing you to easily see where your filament wire goes without struggling with the original extruder. On the bottom, I have placed some Kapton tape to protect the plastic and ensure an air-tight seal. You should be able to assemble this part using the screws and nut provided with your Anet A6 printer. There are two types available: one with PLA cooling fan support (main PLA Fan with support material.STL) one without PLA cooling fan support (main with support material.STL) See the print screen for more information. In the main housing, print support material is already included, represented by a small cylinder at the location where the Hot End will be. See the print screen for details. ---------------------------------All below is optional-------------------------------------------- Beware: It's possible that you may not have enough clearance in the top of your Z axis. If this is the case, you can install “Anet A6 Left upper bracket for higher Z axis” at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2529991. In the pictures, you'll also see a cooler installed on my stepper motor. For that part, please visit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2347821. I had to break out the bottom of this part to align the screw holes with the mounting holes. The cables to the controller are held in place by the “Anet A6 Cable holder X wagon” at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2299852. This model was printed in silver and gray ABS using a 0.2mm resolution, 0.4mm nozzle at 222°C, bed temperature of 96°C (100°C would be even better, but it still caused some warping). The print was made on Kapton tape with an Anet A6 (Anet A6 J-Hotend mod).
