Printing ABS or PET-G filaments can cause the Extruder motor to overheat, leading to decreased performance. If your printer is enclosed, this issue is exacerbated by the hot environment surrounding the motor. To mitigate this problem, consider active cooling of the Extruder motor when printing with these materials. This solution repurposes a fan typically used for part cooling. Two models are available: one specifically designed for use with an "X wagon cable holder" (pinshape.com/items/362...), and another for those without this accessory. The model supporting the X wagon cable holder is visible in the accompanying images.
