Anet A6 Extruder Cable Support
thingiverse
This is an extruder cable support for the 3D Printer Anet A6, designed by me after I realized my cable trunking always got caught in the way of the end stop limit switch of the X axis. To bypass this issue, I created a support piece that elevates the cable trunking while not obstructing filament feeding or threaded rods. It works well now! PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRINT IN THE ORIENTATION FOLLOWING THE PHOTOS. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A6 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4mm, 0.2mm/layer height Infill: 10-15% Notes: Material is PLA, 175mm Working Temperatures: Extruder 210°C, Heated Bed: 55°C Using Cura 15 with rafting and support, it will take 1Hour 32Mins and about 3.5M of filament weighing about 10g. Post-Printing Mounting Instructions to the Printer: Once finished printing, it should look like this with supports added and rafting. Remove the rafts and support. Apply a layer of sponged double-sided tape on the 'legs' of the support. (I used VHB tape from 3M.) Clean up the surface with IPA for good adhesion. Stick the support in this direction as shown, with legs on the fan's cage and the front of the Extruder motor. Place the Cable trunking near the Y-Fork on top of the support piece. Secure it with a cable tie looping over the trunking and support. And you're done! You're ready to go about printing!
