Anet A6 A8 Z-axis alignment indicator
thingiverse
Keep your Z-axis motors synchronized with this adjustable indicator. Anet 3D printers come equipped with two motors for the Z-axis movement that can easily lose position of each other, leading to misalignment. With this indicator installed on each Z-axis motor, you can accurately keep an eye on their alignment. After installation, align your printer and move it to zero Z position. Use a pointy marker pen or pencil to draw a line between the pointers on the flexible couplings. From now on, check the correct position at both the zero Z position and any +8MM Z position. If the motors have lost synchronization, adjust their axles by rotating the couplings in the right position according to the marking and indicator. The motor axles' positions will be corrected once this is done. For future adjustments of the marker line's position, you can either adjust the indicators themselves or remove the existing marker line with some alcohol and redraw it.
