ANET A6 A8 Y axis Belt Tension
thingiverse
The ANET "A" series printers are notorious for lacking a reliable method for setting drive belt tension on the Y axis, a well-documented limitation. In an effort to resolve this issue, I explored alternative solutions and leveraged my experience using several of them successfully in the past. I turned to Fusion 360 once again, relying on its capabilities to create a more straightforward system with fewer printed components and no hardware requirements. The result was two distinct versions: one featuring inside threads for tensioning and another utilizing outside threads. I opted for the inside thread design, as it yielded a smaller "Nut" that appeared more visually appealing. As I typically print with PETG, I cannot guarantee how this approach will perform with PLA; however, I have optimized the part orientation to facilitate smooth printing of the threads. If your printed components are prone to delamination between layers, you may encounter difficulties with this method.
