I preferred the original Acoda spool wedge since it allowed me to rapidly assemble one for my new filament roll. However, with a heavy 2.3kg roll involved, I thought it would be beneficial if it could spin more smoothly. Standard 608ZZ bearings (22x7mm) fit in this design, similar to some other spool holders and fidget spinners.
